📌 Overview Hawk is a machine-learning system that recognizes when low-power appliances turn ON or OFF by observing the current waveform at a building's main power line. Its data-acquisition board combines a 24-bit ADS131M08 ADC, a dual-core ESP32, and W5500 Ethernet. The recognition pipeline then uses SsDiff signal processing, FFT features, and an XGBoost classifier to identify appliance events. Hawk was published as an academic research paper.
