Project description

  • HTTP Client Test
The following examples are provided for HTTP Client testing in the RP2040-HAT-CircuitPython library, which can be found in examples/HTTP/Webclient/W5x00_WebClient.py. By default, obtaining IP through DHCP is a common code, and actual HTTP communication is in the form of GET/POST requests for the specified URL using requests, and incoming responses can be received in Text or JSON format corresponding to the requested request. When I run the above source code on the W5100S-EVB-Pico board, the client sends a request to the adafruit.com server and the W5100S-EVB-Pico client board receives a text or JSON response normally.
  • HTTP Server Test
The Web Server Gateway Interface (WSGI) library must be installed before the HTTP Web Server application can operate. If you look at the lib directory of the RP2040-HAT-CircuitPython file downloaded from the above post, there is an adafruit_wsgi library, which must be copied to the lib directory on the Raspberry Pi Pico drive before you insert it. For test sources, refer to the following examples (examples/HTTP/Webserver/W5x00_WebServer.py) for HTTP Server testing in the RP2040-HAT-CircuitPython library.
