INTRODUCTION Tropical rainfall intensities can vary significantly, even over sub-kilometer distances. This spatial localization is significant, because wireless spatial diversity schemes for high bandwidth high frequency communications are engineered over such scales; and over such distances, a waterlogged sloped on the brink of a landslide may require a system to provide an alarm or warning.
