Project description

This is a project of toaster with a web interface . The WIZnet embedded webserver was sourced  for this project but this could be pulled off with a homebrew webserver as well. When you point your browser to the correct address you’re greeted with images of bread that have been charred to various degrees. This greatly complicates the act of making breakfast while at the same time presenting a possible fire hazard.

This project shows how to enable an otherwise ordinary device over the internet, and every household device could benefit from a web module.

Web page sends info to Toaster Control Module (TCM)

TCM sends signals to outputs which rack the bread & start timing sequence for toasting.

Here they had used WIZnet WIZ200web module as it comes with an Ethernet module as well as an Atmega 128 MCU , which can be now replaced with WIZ550web .

This allows web control of I/O on the ATMEGA 128.

The ATMEGA 128 controls the toaster as well as an LCD to display startus and IP info .

2 transistors and one relay controlled the toaster.A motor was attached to the taster with a string to pull down the latch .

An electromagnet holds down the lever .The webpage sends info to the MCU. The MCU starts the toaster and also times the toasting.
