The Ethernet Master Extension integrates Bricks and Bricklets into a LAN, supporting 10BaseT/100BaseTX Ethernet and is compatible with 1000BaseTX. Available in PoE and non-PoE variants, it powers connected modules via IEEE 802.3af standards. It handles TCP/IP packages independently, allowing direct control from devices like mobile phones or PCs without a Brick Daemon. A Master Brick with firmware 2.1.0+ or RED Brick is required, with additional Bricks and Bricklets stackable on top, maintaining transparent programming use as if connected via USB.
