Project description

ABSTRACT Microgrid is a localized power network of connected loads and energy distribution sources which may operate autonomously with respect to the main central grid. Conventional protection schemes are not suitable for grid-connected and islanded modes of operation of microgrid. This paper proposes an adaptive protection center (APC) which is capable of real-time monitoring of the microgrid, fault identification and graph algorithms aided shortest path identification for fault clearance.
