ETH_CANable: IRIS-ITS’s W5500-Based Dual CAN-to-Ethernet Bridge Overview CAN is widely used inside robots for communication between motor controllers, actuators, sensors, and embedded control boards. Development PCs and higher-level control systems, however, are often connected through Ethernet. ETH_CANable bridges these two environments. Instead of connecting a USB-to-CAN adapter directly beside a PC, ETH_CANable uses the W5500 to make two CAN buses accessible as an Ethernet endpoint.
