PROJECT DESCRIPTION

The project is currently being featured on Crowdsupply.com. Below, we introduce a motherboard named ESP32-C6-Bug designed with ESP32-C6FH4 as the main MCU and ESP32-Eth-Bug Shield with Ethernet PoE as a solution.

Currently, the following tests have been run with the module and are described in detail.

  • Building multi-protocol devices
  • Wearable electronics
  • Protocol bridges
  • Smart home devices
  • Ethernet connectivity
  • PoE powering
  • Compatibility with Adafruit STEMMA QT sensors

The software and hardware resources for the module are detailed in the GitHub repositories below.

The interesting part is the table showing the comparison with the ESP32 EVB boards. The table introduces the features of the board to the user through the advantages of the battery support system, crystal on board, PoE system, etc. that are not available in conventional EVBs.

The pricing for the modules featured in the crowdfunding seems pretty reasonable. Even for a PoE module with isolation, it's considered cheap.
