Overview Energy monitors live in the worst possible place for Wi-Fi: inside metal consumer units, plant rooms, and DIN-rail cabinets, often far from any access point. Yet a mains power monitor is exactly the kind of always-on, safety-adjacent device you never want dropping off the network. The DitroniX IPEM S3-AI answers this by pairing an Espressif ESP32-S3 (with on-device edge-AI capability) and a Microchip ATM90E36A high-accuracy metering IC with a WIZnet W5500 hardwired TCP/IP controller for reliable wired Ethernet.
