Project description

3. Sending data from Arduino.

Now let's leave Node-red aside for a bit and let's prepare the arduino to send the data. For this implementation, the CPB Mini board was used, together with the W5500 ethernet shield. The CPB Mini has an ATmega1280, so it behaves like an Arduino mega.

3. Sending data from Arduino.

The following figure represents the topology of the system, the CPB communicates over ethernet with the modem that sends data via wifi to Node-red.

3. Sending data from Arduino.

In the following table we can see the pins that were used for communication with the ethernet shield, it is worth mentioning that from these we can only change the Chip Select (CS).

3. Sending data from Arduino.

The basis used in the development of this code was the WebServer example, available in the Arduino IDE, File -> Examples -> Ethernet -> WebServer. Our goal is to first establish communication with the Arduino using the example, for this we need to make two initial changes, adjust the IP and define the Chip Set pin.
