Quick Start with AVR xMega256 and W5200

Question

Hello, we are using the AVR xMega256 connected to the W5200 via SPI on our own hardware board (no wiznet evaboard). Now we want to quick start with the W5200 in tcp client and server mode. On your homepage we found a code example for indirect bus mode togeher with the AVR but not for SPI mode. Could you tell us which code files we need from your homepage for the AVR xMega256 connected to the W5200 via SPI? Please give us some hints for a quick start. Thanks for your efforts and have a nice day Marc P.S. In our first application the W5200 should work as a ntp (network time protocol) client and get time stamps from a ntp server.

Hello, thanks for your answer. But your link doesn’t work. Just an additional question. In your code examples I saw that the MAC address for the W5200 must be set manually. Do you know from where we can get the MAC addresses? We only need a small number (100…1000) of addresses. Thank you Marc

I downloaded the example code for AVR indirect bus mode (see link below). Can I use this code also for SPI Mode when I Change the define #define DEF_IINCHIP_BUS DEF_IINCHIP_SPI_MODE? Hi, Marc007. You can download example code at our web > Product > TCP/IP Chip > W5200 > Download tap > W5200 Firmware. And you should purchase the MAC address to be used in your system at the IEEE(www.ieee.org). Best regards.
