You’d better reset chip using reset pin properly as advised in the datasheet.
This does not help, you must give details what and how exactly it does not work, and how you believe it must work. If you reused the code and it was working within previous hardware, then logically, as you guess, something has changed in the hardware - try comparing the circuit diagrams.
