Since the available broadcast intercom system has the problems of limited communication bandwidth, poor tone quality and scalability, a serial digital voice communication system based on Ethernet is designed on the basis of analysis and comparison of available broadcast intercom systems. The structure, software and hardware design of the system are described.The Ethernet controller W7500 P embedded in ARM core is taken as the main control chip of the system.
