Germany is one of the rare countries still running GSM mobile phone services. This is also due to the fact that a lot of old machine communication equipment, out-of-band alarms via SMS or alarm equipment uses this old standard to connect and warn their users. However, in 2027, GSM will be finally removed and the frequencies reused for more modern wireless communication. With this in mind, this projects aims in creating a small, ethernet connected LTE SMS gateway. It can be easily and securely integrated into a network and provide servers or other equipment with the possibility to send warning SMS via LTE.
