Follow Me activities by DigiKey China & EEWorld

- "Follow me activity" is a one-year activity launched by DigiKey and EEWORLD to "learn technology from technology experts and get cash back for completing tasks". There are 4 times in 2023. Every three months, technical experts will recommend development boards/instrument kits with strong playability and learnability, and lead everyone to practice them.

Within the specified time, if participants complete the target tasks according to the live broadcast explanation and board introduction, they can get a cashback for the ordering fee. After review, those who perform well will also receive additional rewards.

The event aims to bring electronic enthusiasts together to learn practical electronic technology knowledge, accumulate DIY experience together, and become a better version of themselves together!

Follow Me 4:

- W5500EVB-PICO as main development board

- Schedule: 18th Dec, 2023 ~ 11th Mar, 2024

- Contestants should bought W5500EVB-PICO in Digikey first. (124 persons applied, but only 50 persons will be selected to join finally)

 

- Must do tasks

1. Introductory tasks:

Set up the development environment, BLINK, drive the LCD display for display (if not, use the serial port HelloWorld)

 

2. Basic task one:

Complete the initialization of the main control board W5500 (static IP configuration), and be able to ping through the LAN computer. At the same time, W5500 can ping through the Internet site; capture the ping messages of the local PC through packet capture software (Wireshark, Sniffer, etc.) , display and analyze.
 

3. Basic task two:

The main control board establishes a TCPIP or UDP server. The LAN PC uses a TCPIP or UDP client to connect and send data. After the main control board receives the data, it will be displayed on the LCD screen (if not, it will be displayed through serial port printing); by grabbing The package software captures interactive messages, displays them and analyzes them. (Choose one of TCP and UDP, or operate both)

 

4. Advanced task:

Synchronize the time from the NTP server (pay attention to the analysis of the data exchange format), obtain the time and send it to the display (serial port) for display.

 

5. Ultimate mission (choose one of two)

Ultimate task one: Visit https://www.digikey.cn/zh/resources/api-solutions to learn about DigiKey’s digital solutions and its API operations, and design a DigiKey electronic component price and inventory monitoring The device can synchronize and display the price, inventory and other information of specified electronic components in real time.
Ultimate task two: Use external storage to set up a simple FTP file server and be able to upload and download files normally.
