This project is more than a retro computer build.
It is a story about fulfilling a childhood dream using modern technology.

As a student, the author first encountered the ZX Spectrum at a friendโ€™s house.
Like many kids at the time, he desperately wanted oneโ€”but his family could not afford it.

Instead, he tried to build a ZX Spectrum clone from parts bought at a local electronics market.
The result was imperfect: unstable power, frequent resets, and a black-and-white TV as a display.

That unfulfilled experience stayed with him for decades.

Years later, as an adult and retro computing enthusiast,
the author already owned several ZX Spectrum 48K clones.

However, many later games and demos required 128K or more RAM,
such as those designed for Pentagon or Scorpion systems.

That led him to ZX Evolution.

ZX Evolution is a modern ZX Spectrumโ€“compatible computer developed by the NedoPC team in Russia.
It is not mass-produced, but manufactured in small batches for enthusiasts.
