🔹 ZX Evolution을 선택한 이유

성인이 된 저자는 이미 여러 대의 ZX Spectrum 48K 클론을 보유하고 있었지만,
128K 이상 메모리를 요구하는 Pentagon, Scorpion 계열 소프트웨어를 실행하기에는 한계가 있었습니다.

그 대안으로 선택한 것이 바로 ZX Evolution입니다.

Connecting a Z80 Retro Computer to Ethernet

This project is more than a retro computer build.
It is a story about fulfilling a childhood dream using modern technology.

🔹 Childhood Dream: ZX Spectrum

As a student, the author first encountered the ZX Spectrum at a friend’s house.
Like many kids at the time, he desperately wanted one—but his family could not afford it.

Instead, he tried to build a ZX Spectrum clone from parts bought at a local electronics market.
The result was imperfect: unstable power, frequent resets, and a black-and-white TV as a display.

That unfulfilled experience stayed with him for decades.

🔹 Why ZX Evolution?

Years later, as an adult and retro computing enthusiast,
the author already owned several ZX Spectrum 48K clones.

However, many later games and demos required 128K or more RAM,
such as those designed for Pentagon or Scorpion systems.

That led him to ZX Evolution.
