Welcome to WIZnet’s annual IoT design contest!

This year’s contest is especially significant as WIZnet released its own Ethernet HAT for the Raspberry Pi Pico users.

As our mission is to streamline your development process with secure connectivity, we thrive to build an all-in-one IoT device platform with our line of embedded solutions, open-source technical community, and MS Azure based cloud.

WIZnet is pleased to have a chance to meet creative applicants,

who wish to use Raspberry Pi Pico or RP2040 based projects along with WIZnet’s hardwired TCP/IP technology.

Exhibit your maker skillset with a free WIZnet Ethernet HAT or W5100S-EVB-Pico, and participate to win a chance for cash prize of $5,000.

위즈네트의 이더넷 솔루션(WIZnet Ethernet HAT, W5100S-EVB-Pico) 출시 기념 공모전 입니다.  

라즈베리파이 피코(RP2040)는 오픈소스의 최대주자인 영국의 라즈베리 파이(Raspberry Pi)에서 
최초로 만든 초보자도 쉽게 사용할 수 있는 저비용, 고성능의 마이크로컨트롤러(MCU) 보드입니다. 

위즈네트 신제품을 활용하면 라즈베리파이의 최초 MCU를 
별도의 회로구성 없이 다양한 예제와 함께 여러분의 IoT 아이디어를 구현하실 수 있습니다.

아이디어 제출하고 무료로 제품도 받고, 총 상금 3만불(약 3,500만원) 상금의 기회를 가져보시기 바랍니다.

전세계 대상 컨테스트라 영어로 진행되고 있으나

W5100S-EVB-Pico

The W5100S-EVB-Pico is a microcontroller evaluation board based on the Raspberry Pi RP2040 microcontroller chip and full hardwired TCP/IP controller W5100S chip. The W5100S-EVB-Pico has the same role as the Raspberry Pi Pico platform and includes W5100S, so the Ethernet function is basically included.

WIZnet Ethernet HAT

WIZnet Ethernet HAT (Hardware Attached on Top) is a Raspberry Pi Pico pin-compatible board that utilizes W5100S and supports both 3.3V & 5V.

Submission Options

Software Only

CreativitySubmission must be different/unique compared to registered content at maker.wiznet.io
ex) Application using TinyML

PracticalityImproved efficiency for home & industrial usage
ex) Application for remote control

ContributionSubmission must prove an improvement of existing WIZnet resources
ex) Bug fix or development of new protocol

CompatibilityAn application that maximizes the W5100S functionality
ex) IP-Cam, Internet Radio

ReusabilityWell-established example of using other libraries
ex) curl , WebSocket, SSL

OthersApplications for Cloud(Azure, AWS, GCP, Yun)
Application for Public Data(Stock, Weather, Air Quality etc.)

GRADING

Part of grading will be based on how the participant promotes his/her project via social media or platforms such as Hackster.io

Content registration (20 points)

key points: ex) Summary of ideas, circuit diagrams (if necessary), main codes, deliverables, demo video
or a project post on your SNS (Blog, YouTube, etc).
 

Quality of final submission (50 points)
post quality can be graded by the explanation level of either post or video, number of views (YouTube), etc.
 

Technical level (10 points)
 

Creativity (10 points)
