WIZ630io + Raspberry Pi Pico Environmental Test Report
We recently conducted a series of environmental stress tests using WIZnet’s WIZ630io module paired with a Raspberry Pi Pico.

We recently conducted a series of environmental stress tests using WIZnet’s WIZ630io module paired with a Raspberry Pi Pico. The goal was to validate the system’s reliability under extreme temperature and humidity conditions. Each test lasted 8 hours and was monitored using VisuWin and thermal chamber systems.
✅ Test Objective
The WIZ630io module is designed for industrial-grade applications. To ensure robust performance in harsh environments, we evaluated how well the module operates under high temperature, low temperature, and high humidity conditions over prolonged periods.

📊 Summary of Test Results
1. High Temperature Test (85°C for 8 Hours)
Date: May 23, 2025
Result: Stable operation at 85°C for 8 continuous hours.
Status: No communication or operation issues.
2. Low Temperature Test (-40°C for 8 Hours)
Date: May 25, 2025
Result: System cooled down to -40°C and maintained for 8 hours.
Status: Boot-up and Ethernet communication worked flawlessly.
3. High Humidity Test (85°C, 95% RH for 8 Hours)
Date: May 26, 2025
Result: Maintained 85°C and 95% humidity throughout the test.
Status: Module continued to operate without any errors.
📡 EMC (Electromagnetic Compatibility) Test Highlights
Radiated Emission data was also recorded to evaluate EMC compliance.
Measurement Range: 30 MHz to 1 GHz
Test Date: May 28, 2025
Key Data Points:
✅ Class A Compliance Achieved
The WIZ630io module, in combination with the Raspberry Pi Pico, fully complies with EMI Class A standards. This means the system is suitable for use in industrial and commercial environments where strict emission control is required. All measured emissions remained well within the acceptable margins, confirming the module’s robustness in terms of electromagnetic interference.
⚡ ESD (Electrostatic Discharge) Immunity Test
To ensure the module’s robustness against sudden electrostatic discharges—a common real-world threat—we also performed an ESD immunity test according to IEC 61000-4-2 standards.
Test Voltage: ±4kV (Contact Discharge)
Result: No abnormal behavior or communication issues observed.
Conclusion: The WIZ630io module passed the ±4kV ESD test without failure, confirming its suitability for environments where electrostatic exposure is likely (e.g., during handling, installation, or field operation).
