Sensor data transmission SDK development board for platform customers (Wifi, LoRa, Cat.M1, LTE)

wizfi360

COMPONENTS
PROJECT DESCRIPTION

Purpose

The primary objective of this project is to develop a Software Development Kit (SDK) that facilitates seamless integration between sensor companies, which lack network and cloud connectivity experience, and platform company servers. This SDK will be used by sensor companies to develop firmware that runs on their Microcontroller Units (MCUs), simplifying the transmission and management of sensor data.

SDK Usage

  • Target Audience: Firmware developers at sensor companies
  • Functionality: Eases connection to platform company servers and simplifies the transmission and management of sensor data
  • Firmware Compatibility: Provides a user-friendly interface for easy integration of the SDK during firmware development

Hardware Specifications

  • MCU: Utilizes the ST Nucleo-L476RG board
    • Features: Based on the low-power STM32L4 microcontroller series, offering a range of development features
  • Communication Support: Supports various communication methods including LoRa, Cat.M1, LTE, Wi-Fi
    • Development: Involves developing shields that support multiple communication types to expand network connectivity options

Core Values

  • Improved Accessibility: Enables companies with limited network and cloud experience to easily connect to servers
  • Communication Flexibility: Offers a variety of communication options to cater to diverse environments and requirements
  • User-Centric Design: Enhances developer convenience with intuitive interfaces and thorough documentation

This SDK aims to ensure broader usage scenarios and compatibility in the IoT environment by enabling sensor companies to easily and efficiently establish connections with platform company servers.

Wifi Shield Circuit Description

Module Used: The shield utilizes the Wizfi360-pa module.

Interface with MCU: It is designed to interface with the Nucleo-L476GR board through the Arduino Uno interface pins. This allows for seamless integration and communication between the shield and the MCU.

External Interaction Features:

  • LEDs and Switches: The shield includes two LEDs and a switch. These components allow for external indication of operational status and facilitate user input.
  • SD Card Slot: An SD card slot is incorporated for storage purposes. It can be used to store various environmental settings and certificates needed for platform integration. This feature enhances the flexibility and functionality of the shield by allowing easy updates and management of critical data.

Power Supply:

  • The power section of the circuit is designed to convert DC power from 5V to 3.3V. This conversion is necessary for the proper operation of the shield and its components, ensuring compatibility with various power sources.
  • Additionally, a USB interface is included to enable direct testing of the WizFi360 module. This feature simplifies the development and testing process, allowing for straightforward diagnostics and configuration of the Wifi module.

This Wifi shield is designed to be versatile and user-friendly, catering to the needs of developers looking to integrate Wifi capabilities into their projects with the Nucleo-L476GR board. The inclusion of LEDs, switches, and an SD card slot makes it a comprehensive solution for various application scenarios, including IoT and connected devices.
