W5500 Ethernet Controller Schematic For KiCad

W5500 Ethernet controller Kicad schematic for use as subsheet. Design verified physically, parts chosen, packages given, extra notes and features added.

PROJECT DESCRIPTION

NOTES:

Recommended to use as subsheets for sustainable designs. Connect as bus (ETHERNET bus) this schematic. Call from root page. If flat schematic type will be use, just place labels (L Key).

W5500 needs typically 150mA input current. Recommended to set apart 300mA from source.

Set PHY Operation Mode (PMODE) pins for your applications requirements. Default held high. Truth table below.

As RJ45 jack, HR911105A used. Includes isolation transformer and isolation components.

Getting LINK info from W5500's registers, Connect W5500_LINK label to MCU's interrupt pin, this provides event driven control. Not must.

Use capacitors X7R type for minimum capacitance shifting. W5500 works a bit hot, About 40C°

As crystal, Raltron RH100-25.000-10-F-2030-E tested and works well. Not a requirement.

EXRES1 resistor have to be 12.4kOhm and tolerence %1. 49.9Ohm resistor too needs to be at max %1 tolerance.

Resistors and capacitors are choosed 0603 package for easy placement by hand and easy to find. If wish change from "Symbol Fields" easily.
