WIZnet Success Stories : Sena IT TMS

Sena IT's TMS is a relay-type power controller using the WIZ752SR-125 module.

COMPONENTS
PROJECT DESCRIPTION

Sena IT primarily manufactures devices used in the exhibition and cultural industry, such as museums. Its business items include remote audio playback systems and video playback systems.

The challenge

Sena IT wanted an industrial-grade RS-232 to Ethernet module. They preferred a module with two RS-232 ports instead of just one. Typically, around 50 of these systems are implemented in a single museum. Although the communication is relatively simple, the nature of their business demands high reliability, as any product failure could significantly impact trust. Therefore, they required a robust and powerful module.

The solution

The WIZ752SR-125 is the perfect module for this requirement. It meets strong industrial specifications and features two RS-232 ports. Control is extremely simple—just switch ports as needed.

WIZ752SR-125

Sena IT used one RS-232 port of the WIZ752SR-125 for internal relay control and the other port to connect external devices to the cloud.

The specifications are as follows: An AC cable is connected to the product, and power is controlled via the cloud. An internal SMPS is installed. Although it is a simple device, durability is crucial in field applications. Since adopting the WIZ752SR-125, there have been no communication-related issues for several years.

Why WIZ752SR-125?

WIZnet offers a close-support system, including Custom Service. We visit customers, identify issues, and provide tailored solutions. This approach enables fast and efficient project completion.

The recommended WIZ752SR-125 is a widely used module in industrial environments. It is highly resistant to noise and allows easy use of up to two RS-232 ports. Configuration can be done using the Configuration Tool, via AT commands over RS-232, or even remotely through a web interface.
