🚀 WIZnet Launches W6300: High-Speed Ethernet in a Compact Form

 

We are excited to announce the official release of the W6300, WIZnet’s newest iEthernet chip that brings together high-speed performance, hardware TCP/IP offloading, and compact form factor—all optimized for today’s demanding embedded applications.

The W6300 is engineered to deliver up to 90 Mbps throughput via a high-speed QSPI interface, making it the fastest SPI-compatible chip in the WIZnet portfolio to date.


Up to 80 Mbps over QSPI — Ethernet Without the Bottlenecks

The W6300 sets a new benchmark in SPI-based Ethernet chips. By leveraging a Quad SPI interface, it achieves data transfer rates over 80 Mbps, allowing developers to design Ethernet-enabled systems with the speed of traditional parallel interfaces—without the complexity.

This makes the W6300 ideal for applications that require:

🔁 The W5300 Legacy, Reinvented

WIZnet’s W5300 chip has long been known for its high-performance capabilities, with an 8/16-bit parallel bus interface and robust TCP/IP hardware stack. However, the W5300 comes in a large 100-pin LQFP package, limiting its use in compact designs and requiring more complex PCB routing.
