# ECE484_Spectrum_Analyzer_Camera

> To make a spectrum analyzer.

Original author: Rob Lytton (source: https://github.com/RobLytton/ECE484_Spectrum_Analyzer_Camera)

## Components

- **WIZnet W5500** x 1 ([docs](https://docs.wiznet.io/Product/Chip/Ethernet/W5500))

WIZnet parts: W5500 ([Datasheet](https://docs.wiznet.io/Product/Chip/Ethernet/W5500/datasheet?utm_source=maker&utm_medium=project&utm_campaign=w5500), [product hub](https://maker.wiznet.io/products/w5500/))

## Article

His plan is to create a spectrum analyzer. He will perform the Fourier transform and display the results on an array of LEDs. He is planning for these LEDs to be multicolored from one end of the spectrum to the other, representing the different frequencies.

He will use a Python script to communicate over Ethernet with the Arduino, sending packets of the transform.

If he gets the base working in time, he will add a photoresistor camera and use it as a background. The idea behind this is that he would have the scanned picture behind the spectrum analyzer, showing both the analysis in progress and the image behind it behind it.
