## Article

I used a NodeMCU board, via Wi-Fi connection to the network, now I will use an Arduino Uno board connected to the local network via W5100 shield.

[![](https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-6hrXT_a4AkQ/Wi5TKiaiofI/AAAAAAAAWco/ANi0JFpsFjoA3UZXxAXuVD6IpcSr_2NnwCLcBGAs/s200/cayenne_uno_w5100_real2.JPG)](https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-6hrXT_a4AkQ/Wi5TKiaiofI/AAAAAAAAWco/ANi0JFpsFjoA3UZXxAXuVD6IpcSr_2NnwCLcBGAs/s1600/cayenne_uno_w5100_real2.JPG)[![](https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-JE9dIIsZEf4/Wi5TIHf5zZI/AAAAAAAAWck/jg5Sq-wAdKMDStUieFGKalkZ_35DIHdrACLcBGAs/s200/cayenne_uno_w5100_real1.JPG)](https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-JE9dIIsZEf4/Wi5TIHf5zZI/AAAAAAAAWck/jg5Sq-wAdKMDStUieFGKalkZ_35DIHdrACLcBGAs/s1600/cayenne_uno_w5100_real1.JPG)

? ?For this I have to connect from the computer to the Cayenne page, with the username and password.

I choose a new Uno development board with the classic network card (Ethernet W5100):

[![](https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-OCTA0NSBizE/Wi5TgMNtwSI/AAAAAAAAWcw/medmMg0HC9wK30sONj_d7U4GtcVDmgAwgCLcBGAs/s320/cayenne_uno_w5100_01.jpg)](https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-OCTA0NSBizE/Wi5TgMNtwSI/AAAAAAAAWcw/medmMg0HC9wK30sONj_d7U4GtcVDmgAwgCLcBGAs/s1600/cayenne_uno_w5100_01.jpg)

? ?If I press the SKETCH button, a window opens with the necessary data to load in Arduino to communicate the newly created channel.

[![](https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-OJ0cv69J2ng/Wi5UG3H-HII/AAAAAAAAWc8/tOtt4JI_rQYbJYk_0KStXRYWPMnqS5UuQCLcBGAs/s320/cayenne_uno_w5100_02.jpg)](https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-OJ0cv69J2ng/Wi5UG3H-HII/AAAAAAAAWc8/tOtt4JI_rQYbJYk_0KStXRYWPMnqS5UuQCLcBGAs/s1600/cayenne_uno_w5100_02.jpg)

? ?I copy the text into the Arduino IDE program

[![](https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-kaCUZehLtKE/Wi5UQJjhefI/AAAAAAAAWdA/Q5ed9oriQTIbyLyMOeU-tvpLLW1eeDGeQCLcBGAs/s320/cayenne_uno_w5100_03.jpg)](https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-kaCUZehLtKE/Wi5UQJjhefI/AAAAAAAAWdA/Q5ed9oriQTIbyLyMOeU-tvpLLW1eeDGeQCLcBGAs/s1600/cayenne_uno_w5100_03.jpg)

I load the program??[0.ino](https://github.com/tehniq3/Cayenne_IoT/blob/master/uno_tutorial/0.ino)?and I follow on the serial monitoring screen if everything is fine

?[![](https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-kAV2Tz_xq2s/Wi5UXq2L-QI/AAAAAAAAWdE/NcvOrLeva5IkSnkJHPNRi-wtujHoZSuNwCLcBGAs/s320/cayenne_uno_w5100_04.jpg)](https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-kAV2Tz_xq2s/Wi5UXq2L-QI/AAAAAAAAWdE/NcvOrLeva5IkSnkJHPNRi-wtujHoZSuNwCLcBGAs/s1600/cayenne_uno_w5100_04.jpg)

In order to easily identify the channel, because there are some inactive ones, I change its name, what I am going to do:

[![](https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-9hSMC-judb0/Wi5Ur83oTPI/AAAAAAAAWdM/lYbrIjrQcisBjrQD9Bz7GNNUVHwoqfr7wCLcBGAs/s320/cayenne_uno_w5100_05.jpg)](https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-9hSMC-judb0/Wi5Ur83oTPI/AAAAAAAAWdM/lYbrIjrQcisBjrQD9Bz7GNNUVHwoqfr7wCLcBGAs/s1600/cayenne_uno_w5100_05.jpg)

and I will already see the channel with the name changed

[![](https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-nz4g850-nCw/Wi5Uy5wB8hI/AAAAAAAAWdQ/rrfY-XZJTsAxSV4gQoX5Yo6nlspHhm9eQCLcBGAs/s320/cayenne_uno_w5100_06.jpg)](https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-nz4g850-nCw/Wi5Uy5wB8hI/AAAAAAAAWdQ/rrfY-XZJTsAxSV4gQoX5Yo6nlspHhm9eQCLcBGAs/s1600/cayenne_uno_w5100_06.jpg)

Because I'm not very familiar with this site, I did what I thought was ok, choosing a longer path, but one that I know works. I choose to make an indication feast (WIDGET) and as I did not find for the DHT22 sensor (AM2302), I chose a general sensor, after which I will change the parameters to be fine.

[![](https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-slUWOw3X-Fg/Wi5Vb0wBhFI/AAAAAAAAWdk/U9XEmW4ropQoOqPLTkvnRgudEcLQbZfJwCLcBGAs/s320/cayenne_uno_w5100_07.jpg)](https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-slUWOw3X-Fg/Wi5Vb0wBhFI/AAAAAAAAWdk/U9XEmW4ropQoOqPLTkvnRgudEcLQbZfJwCLcBGAs/s1600/cayenne_uno_w5100_07.jpg)

and press ADD SENSOR, an indication area appears on the channel

[![](https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-c-ioD24rlA4/Wi5V6SkW84I/AAAAAAAAWdo/XmHiuijnPxU9tHTmPhLbE4KgNRAyzOhSACLcBGAs/s320/cayenne_uno_w5100_08.jpg)](https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-c-ioD24rlA4/Wi5V6SkW84I/AAAAAAAAWdo/XmHiuijnPxU9tHTmPhLbE4KgNRAyzOhSACLcBGAs/s1600/cayenne_uno_w5100_08.jpg)

which has the following parameters now

[![](https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-Vq8qQjs2pq8/Wi5WWXYOqHI/AAAAAAAAWdw/37-C8IElOPoOtXqPlO40jfGtPpz66Kn_QCLcBGAs/s320/cayenne_uno_w5100_09.jpg)](https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-Vq8qQjs2pq8/Wi5WWXYOqHI/AAAAAAAAWdw/37-C8IElOPoOtXqPlO40jfGtPpz66Kn_QCLcBGAs/s1600/cayenne_uno_w5100_09.jpg)

After I realized that it is not the same as what I presented in the?[previous article](http://nicuflorica.blogspot.ro/2017/11/prezentare-stocare-date-si-executare.html)??on the NodeMCU board, I added a sensor included with the server, to see how information is put, so I chose to put an analog temperature sensor TMP36

[![](https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-CYRrfrYXOWU/Wi5WftHCSrI/AAAAAAAAWd0/KRUWDcKp_NkqrpQ1hSQVFJFeQ8j8Icr0gCLcBGAs/s320/cayenne_uno_w5100_10.jpg)](https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-CYRrfrYXOWU/Wi5WftHCSrI/AAAAAAAAWd0/KRUWDcKp_NkqrpQ1hSQVFJFeQ8j8Icr0gCLcBGAs/s1600/cayenne_uno_w5100_10.jpg)

I chose to see the sketch

[![](https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-pRQWu7VYVxc/Wi5WoeEepQI/AAAAAAAAWd4/JQ1vmQpUZdgrt1-7_zFv_U53g3JXtqVcQCLcBGAs/s320/cayenne_uno_w5100_11.jpg)](https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-pRQWu7VYVxc/Wi5WoeEepQI/AAAAAAAAWd4/JQ1vmQpUZdgrt1-7_zFv_U53g3JXtqVcQCLcBGAs/s1600/cayenne_uno_w5100_11.jpg)

and I completed in my sketch what was not.?and I saw what I need to use the information for the DHT22 sensor (AM2302), so I loaded the modified sketch?[1a.ino](https://github.com/tehniq3/Cayenne_IoT/blob/master/uno_tutorial/1a.ino)?, which is the basic one with my sensor data. I pressed the button to display the indication window

[![](https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-f4ChzcdOzAQ/Wi5WycqihvI/AAAAAAAAWd8/BEbI6LqPL9Yl-jlrQPcfVfLnNZyWB4-BwCLcBGAs/s320/cayenne_uno_w5100_12.jpg)](https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-f4ChzcdOzAQ/Wi5WycqihvI/AAAAAAAAWd8/BEbI6LqPL9Yl-jlrQPcfVfLnNZyWB4-BwCLcBGAs/s1600/cayenne_uno_w5100_12.jpg)

Then I added another sensor,

[![](https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-SwnJPWExugo/Wi5Xs-XORQI/AAAAAAAAWeM/PyQG476nhlEoeVD8n815xptY_yWQn-2qwCLcBGAs/s320/cayenne_uno_w5100_20.jpg)](https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-SwnJPWExugo/Wi5Xs-XORQI/AAAAAAAAWeM/PyQG476nhlEoeVD8n815xptY_yWQn-2qwCLcBGAs/s1600/cayenne_uno_w5100_20.jpg)

on the page also putting the indication of humidity:

[![](https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-25BxooR6qb8/Wi5XZ47Y-_I/AAAAAAAAWeE/1Sbwp5W-oYM52J7FxqMX5Mr0x4dEYUyxgCLcBGAs/s320/cayenne_uno_w5100_14.jpg)](https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-25BxooR6qb8/Wi5XZ47Y-_I/AAAAAAAAWeE/1Sbwp5W-oYM52J7FxqMX5Mr0x4dEYUyxgCLcBGAs/s1600/cayenne_uno_w5100_14.jpg)

I go to the settings window to change their name:

[![](https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-0dCz1cy80pQ/Wi5X6OmgQcI/AAAAAAAAWeU/jGDBJrtzz8Yo-GdXLQwpZ15zEW1Pkey2wCLcBGAs/s320/cayenne_uno_w5100_16.jpg)](https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-0dCz1cy80pQ/Wi5X6OmgQcI/AAAAAAAAWeU/jGDBJrtzz8Yo-GdXLQwpZ15zEW1Pkey2wCLcBGAs/s1600/cayenne_uno_w5100_16.jpg)

[![](https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-cl8OO2qh6KI/Wi5X87j0CSI/AAAAAAAAWeY/r7t0jJHqnaw0dC8BJGZJEEIwlzOzog-aQCLcBGAs/s320/cayenne_uno_w5100_17.jpg)](https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-cl8OO2qh6KI/Wi5X87j0CSI/AAAAAAAAWeY/r7t0jJHqnaw0dC8BJGZJEEIwlzOzog-aQCLcBGAs/s1600/cayenne_uno_w5100_17.jpg)

and delete the TMP36 window

[![](https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-fbI3pvoWZGI/Wi5YDthKhQI/AAAAAAAAWec/5kZyQu7BS4IT008ABIUGm3QhkoOjnU4dQCLcBGAs/s320/cayenne_uno_w5100_18.jpg)](https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-fbI3pvoWZGI/Wi5YDthKhQI/AAAAAAAAWec/5kZyQu7BS4IT008ABIUGm3QhkoOjnU4dQCLcBGAs/s1600/cayenne_uno_w5100_18.jpg)

and so I have a clean channel

[![](https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-a0DB_ybcbss/Wi5YJVgBxzI/AAAAAAAAWeg/1rfSRQknNzM3IbcyIjZvkB731kUBe0bhwCLcBGAs/s320/cayenne_uno_w5100_19.jpg)](https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-a0DB_ybcbss/Wi5YJVgBxzI/AAAAAAAAWeg/1rfSRQknNzM3IbcyIjZvkB731kUBe0bhwCLcBGAs/s1600/cayenne_uno_w5100_19.jpg)

Because to make a thermostat I need a relay, I add something like that

[![](https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-rec_d5-nBQQ/Wi5YR0UvyZI/AAAAAAAAWek/WkR7YD-pXYgecgm6uMtTeSqlJQqnI6CbQCLcBGAs/s320/cayenne_uno_w5100_20.jpg)](https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-rec_d5-nBQQ/Wi5YR0UvyZI/AAAAAAAAWek/WkR7YD-pXYgecgm6uMtTeSqlJQqnI6CbQCLcBGAs/s1600/cayenne_uno_w5100_20.jpg)

[![](https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-wv0KHKrVRzg/Wi5adstemVI/AAAAAAAAWew/oP_qradeC8IseKJ-uH7LmyQ2WQJB4s-ngCLcBGAs/s320/cayenne_uno_w5100_21.jpg)](https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-wv0KHKrVRzg/Wi5adstemVI/AAAAAAAAWew/oP_qradeC8IseKJ-uH7LmyQ2WQJB4s-ngCLcBGAs/s1600/cayenne_uno_w5100_21.jpg)

and I also put the button part in the sketch, which becomes??[1b.ino](https://github.com/tehniq3/Cayenne_IoT/blob/master/uno_tutorial/1b.ino)

[![](https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-xDGJHHYpJn8/Wi5ahw_eQxI/AAAAAAAAWe0/BB7ZhQxFgogCK8Plv_xPUq8uj1LeOcxZQCLcBGAs/s320/cayenne_uno_w5100_22.jpg)](https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-xDGJHHYpJn8/Wi5ahw_eQxI/AAAAAAAAWe0/BB7ZhQxFgogCK8Plv_xPUq8uj1LeOcxZQCLcBGAs/s1600/cayenne_uno_w5100_22.jpg)

On the screen I now have the indications of temperature and humidity plus the relay control button (led).

[![](https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-CdzQjZiK6eU/Wi5a2sFr9aI/AAAAAAAAWe4/iZduXmES8igSJ_W7dTaMKWZmAXqBe8Q5ACLcBGAs/s320/cayenne_uno_w5100_23.jpg)](https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-CdzQjZiK6eU/Wi5a2sFr9aI/AAAAAAAAWe4/iZduXmES8igSJ_W7dTaMKWZmAXqBe8Q5ACLcBGAs/s1600/cayenne_uno_w5100_23.jpg)

The control part of the relay (LED) is configured like this

[![](https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-sF6WHAd1J4U/Wi5a9-tyRZI/AAAAAAAAWfA/e98GvykmqzYy1Cfi2KJMnjTUs7bTvMBSgCLcBGAs/s320/cayenne_uno_w5100_24.jpg)](https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-sF6WHAd1J4U/Wi5a9-tyRZI/AAAAAAAAWfA/e98GvykmqzYy1Cfi2KJMnjTUs7bTvMBSgCLcBGAs/s1600/cayenne_uno_w5100_24.jpg)

Now the bridge gives LED on and off commands

[![](https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-bNp6-3ongdg/Wi5bE76Bg7I/AAAAAAAAWfE/9yQRGjhKH3caq5iXLTwYUrnEOdnC7plSACLcBGAs/s320/cayenne_uno_w5100_25.jpg)](https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-bNp6-3ongdg/Wi5bE76Bg7I/AAAAAAAAWfE/9yQRGjhKH3caq5iXLTwYUrnEOdnC7plSACLcBGAs/s1600/cayenne_uno_w5100_25.jpg)

[![](https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-X0HsHzWk3Bg/Wi5bHELZ1qI/AAAAAAAAWfI/9DiHMliZaKUR5i17rMjSHXXtCfp6amPGACLcBGAs/s320/cayenne_uno_w5100_26.jpg)](https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-X0HsHzWk3Bg/Wi5bHELZ1qI/AAAAAAAAWfI/9DiHMliZaKUR5i17rMjSHXXtCfp6amPGACLcBGAs/s1600/cayenne_uno_w5100_26.jpg)

I also made a?[video](https://youtu.be/K-LrdjhaSWI)?in which the channel is presented and how the indications can be modified if the program (sketch)??[Cayenne_Uno_W5100_DHT22_button.ino is loaded](https://github.com/tehniq3/Cayenne_IoT/blob/master/Cayenne_Uno_W5100_DHT22_button.ino)?.
