the controllers do not have built-in web servers but operate on a Modbus network. The solution involved creating a Modbus master using an Arduino Mega and setting up a web server on the same Arduino using Bascom programming language and Wiznet W5100 shield.

It's cost-effective and scalable as the Mega can be replaced with a Nano with an Ethernet shield. This approach eliminates issues with RS485 cabling, especially in large machines. The article includes a video of the project's tests.
