# [From QnA] W5200 memory poniter initialisation

## Question

Asked by irina on 2013-10-02 in IO Modules.

## This post came from QnA of WIZnet website

Dear WIZnet

We are using W5200 ( WIZ820io R 1.0 ) . Configuration used is TCP client adn we are able to receive data from the server.
The question is, is it possible to initialise RX memory … or at least to initialise Sn_WRO and Sn_WR1 Pointer when we wish ( when we have established TCP connection ).
what happens if RX memory get filed … does it overflow ?

regards zorz

Dear customer,

Thanks for your interest in W5200.
W5200 don’t support a way to clear the buffer.
The only way to remove previous value is to overwrite it.
RX memory and TX memory are identical.
Please refer to as below.
