# W5500 ferrite chip

## Question

Asked by kresten on 2013-09-25 in Ethernet Chips.

Hello Wiznet

On the reference schematic there is a ferrite connected between the digital and analog VCC. The specific one that you are using seems hard to get, so i would like to know are there any speciel requirements to the ferrite ?
So that i can find a replacement.

thanks in advance

Dear kresten,

The ferrite connected between the digital and analog VCC could be used any ferrite Bead 120Ohm.

Thanks,
WIZnet.

Okay - thank you ![](https://emoji.discourse-cdn.com/twitter/slight_smile.png?v=12)

Is there any reason it is rated 3amps?
It seems like a lot when the chip is rated ~120milliamps?

Regards

Dear kresten,

You could be used any ferrite Bead 60~120 Ohm and ~1A. (depending to your system)

## Please, refer to Spec. of HH-1M1608-121JT, as below

## Part No. / Typ. / min. / DC Resistance (Ω) max. / Rated current (mA) max.

## HH-1M1608-121□□ / 120 / 90 / 0.14 / 1100

Thanks,
WIZnet
