# W5500-EVB-PICO2 Flash

## Question

Asked by whiteice27 on 2024-09-20 in MCU & Boards.

I noticed that this board was supposed to be a replicate of the official Pico2 board however this board only has 2MB flash and the RPI board has 4MB Flash?

Can these be updated? CircuitPython practically takes up all this space.

Sorry, we don't have any plans yet for a board launch with increased memory.

If possible, please add some clarification to the product page. The product page says it is a clone of the Pico2 but has 2MB less flash then the official board.

Use Micropython. Much smaller. WIZnet haven't released any firmware yet though.

There’s a pull request on MicroPython’s GitHub to add support for the W5500-EVB-Pico2 and W5100S-EVB-Pico2. Check it out here: https://github.com/micropython/micropython/pull/16280
