# WIZ550S2E Client Connection Issue

## Question

Asked by JPHayes87 on 2024-05-10 in Serial-to-Ethernet & ConfigTool.

Good Day.

I am using the WIZ550S2E module for Ethernet connectivity.

I can host a server on the WIZNet module and I can send messages to and from it using an android app for testing.

However, when I try and get a client connection, I keep getting an error. I can ping the WIZNet module from my Android device and I've always used this Android App as a server for testing before and I've never had issues. It just doesn't seem to work with the WIZNet module.

Here is an example of the AT command that I am using.

AT+NOPEN=C,4444,192.168.25.1,4444

I get response,

[F,,10]

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Hi There

After testing on my local network, I decided to make a direct connection with my PC. I keep the default settings on the WIZ550S2E (S, 192.168.11.100,255.255.255.0,192.168.11.1,8.8.8.8). Then I set my PC IP address to 192.168.11.2 and I use an IP in the same range, with the same SubnetMask, Gateway and DNS.

AT+NSTAT?
[S,,S,192.168.11.100,255.255.255.0,192.168.11.1,8.8.8.8]

PC Settings:

192.168.11.2, 255.255.255.0, 192.168.11.1, 8.8.8.8

This is the result when I try and connect to the server I am hosting from Hercules.

AT+NOPEN=C,3000,192.168.11.2,3000
[W,0]
[F,0,8]
