# Clarification Regarding Direct Replacement of WIZ120SR with WIZ752SR-120

## Question

Asked by Arun141 on 2026-05-26 in Ethernet Chips.

It is requested to kindly confirm whether the WIZ752SR-120 can be used as a direct replacement for the WIZ120SR module.

We are presently using the WIZ120SR in one of our systems/devices and would like to know whether the WIZ752SR-120 is fully compatible in terms of hardware replacement without any modification.

In particular, kindly clarify the following:

1. Whether the WIZ752SR-120 is pin-to-pin compatible with the WIZ120SR.

2. Whether the 14-pin configuration on either side of the WIZ752SR-120 matches the PCB hole layout of the WIZ120SR already mounted on the board.

3. Whether the replacement can be carried out directly without any hardware or firmware changes.

Kindly provide your confirmation and technical clarification at the earliest.

There are a few pins that are not compatible. If you contact us at the email address below, we will organize the details and provide them to you. Thank you.
