# CLI Config Tool Can't Do Anything But Search

## Question

Asked by Justin on 2025-10-29 in MCU & Boards.

Hi,

We've made a board using W7500. I'm able to configure the device with S2E Config tool and program firmware with ISP tool.

With CLI Config tool, I can't seem to do anything other than search. I keep getting messages about invalid MAC or invalid parameter. Please see the log below.

PS C:\Users\JustinButtelmann\Desktop\DoppSpaceProto Testing\GPSDO\WIZnet-S2E-Tool-master\WIZnet-S2E-Tool-master> python --version
Python 3.12.1
PS C:\Users\JustinButtelmann\Desktop\DoppSpaceProto Testing\GPSDO\WIZnet-S2E-Tool-master\WIZnet-S2E-Tool-master> python wizconfig.py -s

* Device 2: 00:08:DC:55:D3:72 [WIZ750SR-1xx] | 10.1.135.83 | CONNECT | Version: 1.2.3

Check ''mac_list.txt'' file for a list of searched devices.

Hello,
To use this CLI Config Tool, your device needs to be running the WIZ750SR firmware.
Could you please let us know which firmware version your board is currently using?

I'm using

WIZ750SR-1xxv129_incl_Boot.bin

I also tried with a part that was bought pre-programmed (W7500-S2E), which has version 1.2.3. It has the same result.

I tested this as well with an evaluation board and had the same result. WIZ750SR-105 v1.0
