# W6100 DHCPv6 No reply from DHCPv6 server

## Question

Asked by ianhong on 2025-08-14 in Ethernet Chips.

We encountered an problem with DHCPv6, we has sent DHCPv6 information-request to the router, but it didn't get any reply.

We have also micmiced the payload to be like the payload sent by my PC. The only differences are the MAC address and Flow Label (W6100 is fixed to 0), and we still don't get any reply from router. But, our PC can get a reply with the same payload.

we have setup Link-Local IP to FE80::600:379d..., netmask to FFFF:FFFF:FFFF:FFFF::0. Its global IPv6 is stayed to 0::0.

Does anyone has encountered the similar issue? Have we missed anything?
