# Please tell me how to write the binany file you guys provide to the W7500.

## Question

Asked by makoto0618 on 2025-05-30 in MCU & Boards.

Hi,

I downloaded a binary file named W7500S2E_App_R1_V2.9.bin from the W7500S2E-R1 page(<https://docs.wiznet.io/Product/S2E-Module/W7500S2E-R1>) .

I want to write this file to an empty W7500.

Can you tell me how to write it?

Please tell me how to write W7500S2E_App_R1_V2.9.bin to W7500.

the **W7500S2E-R1 module itself already includes this bootloader**, so you can upload the firmware using WIZnet’s **WIZ750SR Configuration Tool**.

📌 Here’s how to upload firmware using the tool:

Connect the W7500S2E-R1 module and your PC to the same network.

Download and run the Configuration Tool from the following link:

Click the **“Search”** button to detect the device.

Once the device is found, select it and click the **“Upload Firmware”** button at the top of the tool.
You can then select the `W7500S2E_App_R1_V2.9.bin` file and upload it to the device.

📌 Please note: This method works **only for W7500S2E-R1 modules that already include the internal bootloader**.
If you are using a completely blank W7500 chip (without any bootloader), this method will not work.

In that case, we recommend using:

The **WIZ750SR firmware** (which is open-source), or

The **W7500S2E-C1** module, which includes the full bootloader and supports firmware upload via UART or Ethernet.

Let us know if you have any further questions — we’ll be happy to help.

Best regards

Thank you for your advice.

After checking, I found that my W7500 chip does not include bootloader.

Should I write "All (boot+app) Firmware Binary (WIZISP)" found at <https://docs.wiznet.io/Product/S2E-Module/WIZ750SR/download> ?

Are the WIZ750SR firmware and W7500S2E-R1 firmware exactly the same?

Is the “W7500 ISP Tool” the correct tool to use for writing?
