# MQTT persistent/clean session flag

## Question

Asked by youaretrippin on 2024-11-30 in Wireless.

In the Wizfi360 firmware for the AT+MQTTSET command, what is the value set for the cleanSession flag? Is there a way to change this during configuration? If this flag is not app accessible, what is the preferred way to determine if broker connection is valid before publishing a message?

cleanSession flag in WizFi360 firmware is true. The flag is hardcoded in the firmware and cannot be changed during configuration.

If the connection status with the broker is uncertain, you can use QoS (Quality of Service) Level 1 or 2 to ensure message delivery. (with AT+MQTTQOS)

Thank you for the clarification. Is there any future plans to add control of cleanSession flag during configuration?

We don't have a plan yet, but we will consider it later
