# How to handle when TCP connection disconnects?

## Question

Asked by Anand Jasti on 2024-08-26 in Serial-to-Ethernet & ConfigTool.

I am using a microcontroller to interface with the WIZ505SR-RP ethernet module and wanted to know if there is a way to know if the TCP connection has been established, and if the PHY link is up. I know that there are status LED’s on the module itself, but is there a way that the ethernet module can relay that information to my microcontroller?

Thank You
