# How to break ping ?

## Question

Asked by Maksim on 2022-01-24 in Ethernet Chips.

My device works around the clock and after a week a month (for different clients in different ways) fails (no ping). I think it’s a bug in my program, but I can’t figure out how the program can break the ping.
Even if my program is frozen, w5500 responds to ping.
