# What is 100BaseTx in mbps form ?

## Question

Asked by RectCream on 2021-12-18 in Ethernet Chips.

Some said 100BT stands for 10mbps, some indicates the bit rate is 100mbps.
What is 100BaseTx stands for and how to convert to mbps form ?

Hi,
The WIZnet chip supports 100Base and 10Base modes. You can change the mode by controlling the register.
