# When does WIZ110SR request a DHCP address?

Asked by Nick on 2020-06-07 in Serial-to-Ethernet & ConfigTool.

Hi and 안녕하세요…

Straight out of the box, does the WIZ110SR request a DHCP address or does it require configuration from the serial port to do this?

I’ve wireshark’d it and I’m not seeing a DHCP request.

It’s also not visible in the configurator tool when scanning.
