# W6100 DNS can not parse long domain

## Question

Asked by qiantu98 on 2020-01-15 in Ethernet Chips.

when i try the DNS of W6100, if the length of the domain is large, for example [salesmanagementsoftware.com](http://salesmanagementsoftware.com), it seems the DNS can not get the IP address of the server, what can i do?

Can you modify Firmware of MAX_DOMAIN_NAME value in dns.h ?
We set that value to 16. Please increase it.
