# About W5300 Frame

## Question

Asked by S H on 2018-07-11 in Ethernet Chips.

Hello, nice to meet you.
Let me ask you a question.

In W5300, among the frame formats,
I think the Ethernet II frame is normally used

Do you support the IEEE 802.3 format?
If possible, please tell me if there are registers to switch.
Thanks.

I recommend you referring to [the datasheet](http://www.wiznet.io/wp-content/uploads/wiznethome/Chip/W5100/Document/W5300_DS_V132E.pdf), mode you need is called MAC RAW. Search for "MAC RAW’ and “MACRAW” in the datasheet. Chapter 5 of the datasheet will explain how to program the chip.
