# Ethernet configuration protocol

## Question

Asked by rmg on 2016-05-17 in Serial-to-Ethernet & ConfigTool.

I need to configure WIZ145SR modules connected to local network from a linux machine.

Where can I find the ethernet configuration protocol used by the config tool for windows v1.7 application? The application source code might also be helpful.

The pdf documentation seems to be incorrect regarding the byte order of the LPort field. It appears that the word is in Little Endian (LH) order, so it should be:

ChannelInfo.LPort [2 Bytes, it indicates the Local Port number of the socket]
Example) If Local Port is 5000 ( = 0x1388), then LPort[0] = 0x88, LPort[1] = 0x13

instead of the PDF where it shows:

ChannelInfo.LPort [2 Bytes, it indicates the Local Port number of the socket]
Example) If Local Port is 5000 ( = 0x1388), then LPort[0] = 0x13, LPort[1] = 0x88

I looked at the UDP packet sent/received by the WIZ14xSRConfig_Rev 1.7 utility.
