# Can MACID be modified?

## Question

Asked by jrob5646 on 2016-05-02 in Wireless.

Is there a way fro me to change the MACID for this module? I need to
switch modules on a customers unit and then they would need to change
their internal network settings to match the new MACID, but I would
rather just change the MACID in the module to match what they currently
use, so they don’t have to do anything.

No, you can’t modify MAC address
