# Setting link speed in software

## Question

Asked by billbgarland on 2015-01-12 in Ethernet Chips.

Hi

Is it possible to force the W5500 to establish a link at 10Mbps using software? The datasheet describes how this can be done using the SPD pin but there does not seem to be a register option.

Just realised I was reading the wrong data sheet. Found the register in the W5500 data sheet.
