# Cable Type

## Question

Asked by mahdavifar on 2014-05-17 in Ethernet Chips.

Hi,
I am using W5100 chip.
Is the cable type matter ? ( I mean cat5 or cat6 )
Do I have to change the value of 49R9 resistors when I use different cables ?
