# WIZ550io Physical Connection to Network

## Question

Asked by nealmartini on 2014-04-29 in Ethernet Chips.

Where are people physically connecting their WIZ550io into the network? Into a router? Directly into PC ethernet port? Into a cable modem? Using a crossover cable?

I have tried everything and can’t get a ping to work. I am using a WIN 7 PC.
