IoT smart meter remote monitoring, automatic power-off system
Monitor the power consumption and electricity consumption, which can be viewed through a mobile phone or computer.
This work can remotely monitor the electricity consumption of users (such as student dormitories) through the Internet of Music.
The main function:
1. Monitor the power consumption and electricity consumption, which can be viewed through a mobile phone or computer.
2. Remotely control the power supply through mobile phone or computer.
3. Further functions such as timing switch power supply, over-power, and over-consumption automatic power off can be realized through the settings of the Internet of Music.
System composition:
- 1. Arduino mega2560 R3 development board
- 2. Arduino Ethernet W5100 network expansion board
- 3. Electronic energy meter
- 4. Solid State Relay
- 5. Small circuit board

The working principle of the circuit:
First briefly explain the principle of the electronic electric energy meter I use: the electric energy meter completes the voltage sampling by the voltage divider, and completes the current sampling by the sampling resistor. After the conversion, the output pulse signal drives the counter to work, and at the same time outputs the same pulse through the optocoupler, and I use this pulse for detection. The parameter corresponding to the 220V 5(20)A electric energy meter I used is 3200imp/kWh, that is, 3200 pulses are output per 1kWh of electricity, and the power consumption can be calculated by measuring the period of this pulse. Therefore, the Aduino MEGA2560 is used to count the pulses and measure the period, and the data of power and electricity consumption can be transmitted to the music network through the W5100 network expansion board. A solid-state relay is connected in series between the electric energy meter and the electrical appliance, and the on and off of the solid-state relay is controlled by the Arduino mega2560, so that the power switch can be remotely controlled by a mobile phone or a computer. I set the switch to control the switch on the Internet of Music, and the mobile phone can be controlled by installing the Internet of Music App software. At the same time, I can view the power and electricity consumption data through the mobile phone.
