## Project Story

Some of the requirements for the project initially were to use multiple SPI devices, which the Redboard can not achieve, so in this project Teensy 3.2 is used.I had wanted each to be able to control the color of the NeoPixel ring and then push that color to the hue lights with two different buttons that each had multiple uses.I had decided I wanted 3 sensors: the BME280, the R/G encoder, and the Elegoo GY-521 (an accelerometer and gyro combo sensor).I was assigned a mid-term project to create a smart-room controller that either controlled Phillips Hue lights or Wemo smart outlets.

## How it works

There are 4 modes total. 3 that control the color and 1 that controls the brightness.

For button 1: A single click of the 1st button sets the color to whatever color is displayed on the NeoPixel Ring. A double click of the 1st button engages the brightness mode that you can then turn the encoder to set the brightness. A long press of the 1st button changes the number of lights that the color/brightness is displayed on.

For button 2: A single click of the 2nd pushed the color and brightness to the Hue bulbs. A double click of the second button changes the mode. A long press of the 2nd button turns the hue lights on and off.

The modes:

Mode 1: Uses the Gyro to change the color of the NeoPixel ring which can then be pushed to the hue lights.

Mode 2: Uses the BME280 to detect the temperature which then changes the color of the NeoPixel ring which can then be pushed to the hue lights.

Mode 3: Uses the R/G encoder to select what color you want to push to the hue lights.

Mode 4: Uses the R/G encoder to choose what brightness you want to set the lights to.
