**INTRODUCTION**

W5100 is a multifunctional single chip network interface chip with 10/100 Ethernet controller integrated internally. It is mainly used in embedded systems with high integration, high stability, high performance and low cost. Internet connectivity without an operating system is possible using W5100. The W5100 is compatible with IEEE802.3 10base-t and 802.3u 100base-tx. The W5100 incorporates an all-hardware, multi-year market-proven TCP/IP stack, Ethernet medium transport layer (MAC), and physical layer (PHY). Using W5100 doesn't require Ethernet control, just simple port (Socket) programming.

Product features • multiple interfaces can be selected: direct bus, indirect bus and SPI bus; • support hardware TCP/IP protocol stack, support TCP,UDP,ICMP,IGMP,IPv4, ARP,PPPoE. • up to 4 separate ports; • internal integration 16KBYTE transceiver cache; Indicate the output, a variety of information including RX and TX, Full/Duplex, Colision, Link, Speed; • supports automatic polarity conversion (DMI/MDIX); • 3.3v power supply, IO signal compatible with 5V voltage; • with its own network port, double row 2*14 2.0mm pin; Arduino-compatible official Ethernet library.
